This is Nazo Bravo. This is not a blogger on my team.

Yesterday, ABC News 7 reported protesters marching in front of the Turkish Consulate in Los Angeles in reaction to the current attacks on civilians in Kessab, Syria, with graphic images and videos popping up on the internet of Armenians being round up and executed (WATCH VIDEO – WARNING – GRAPHIC). As reported by several news outlets including business2community.com:

The town was overrun by Al-Qaeda aligned forces on March 21st, with eyewitness reports stating that civilians have been forced out of the town as the insurgents looted and destroyed local property, including Churches.

Reports on social media suggest that residents who did not flee in the face of the attack on the town were rounded up and executed, however we are unable to confirm this with a reliable source.

There have been conflicting messages about who is actually being executed and the motives of these attacks, but no matter how you look at it, these atrocities call for help from anyone who believes in basic human rights. Please send a petition to President Obama through the ANCA or to the White House directly.

The Armenian Weekly, based out of Boston, MA recently did an interview with Nazo Bravo:

Having worked in the hip-hop industry for the last four years, Bravo describes it as an unregulated, cutthroat milieu. “A lot of people are drawn to music because they think that they will have an easier life if they’re successful as entertainers…but it’s actually one of the most difficult things you can do because everyone’s trying to do it… There’s a lot of traps, there’s a lot of people who wanna just take your money.” Bravo has nonetheless found considerable success. His recent single “Focus” has played on more than 80 radio stations and was featured on the prominent site AllHipHop.com; he also performed it recently on the main stage of the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. »
